Peggy Cheney

Peggy has spent her entire career in the grocery business.  She started working in a major chain grocery store in Central IL when she was 16 years old.  She stayed there for 16 years, working her way through all the different departments and was an Assistant Store Manager when a job opportunity for her husband took her to the St. Louis area.  While in St. Louis, she worked for Nabisco for 23 years.  She started as a sales rep, calling directly on the individual stores, selling, stocking and building displays.  She was soon promoted to a Category Manager, first for some small independent chains and Commissaries in the KC/ St. Louis area before moving on to the SuperValu team.  She called on both Dierberg’s and Shop N Save in St. Louis and managed the entire portfolio for Nabisco.  She set up the ads, managed the trade spend, obtained acceptance on all new items and managed the category plan-o-grams. Her favorite part of this position however was setting up Customer Marketing Events, with Cliffedge Marketing, especially the ones with the Cardinals and the Rams. Peggy left Nabisco at the end of 2015.  After selling the small grocery store, she owned with her husband, they made the move to Tennessee.
